Mar 2009 - Present
With the responsibility for credit control for 700 active customers, the main responsibility is to proactively manage debt collection on this portfolio of accounts which span across a broad range of industries and sectors. Prioritising and managing a challenging workload whilst maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction is a key element to my job. My main focus is reducing and maintaining debt within agreed targets and deadlines while nurturing of customer relationships.

In this busy stationary company, on a 12 month contract,I completed a variety of accounting tasks- Account setup, account queries, AP postings, cash lodgement & postings, credit control. In addition to a number of Sales order tasks- order processing, dealing with customer queries/complaints, filing & liaising with van drivers, office management & colleagues on any given issue. It was a varied and fast paced position with limited resources & many challenges. I learned the running of an office based business on a smaller scale and expanded my general knowledge of accounts procedures.

I was based onsite at a large Manufacturing facility with the responsibility of 250-400 at any one time. I was the point of contact for all contracted employees and also for the Customer HR/Accounts/ Manufacturing teams. My duties were to roster any additional staff required for the manufacturing floor, induction of new staff, processing the weekly payroll for all employees in conjunction with our Limerick office & deal with any adhoc HR issues. My main role was to maintain a good working relationship with the customer on all levels which involved dealing with requests from all departments. The fast paced nature of the business at this time meant that employee requirements could change form day to day or week to week. Reacting to these requirements to ensure that the customer always had the manpower required was the most challenging part of this job. While maintaining the customer relationship to the highest level and responding to the ever changing needs of the company were paramount, being an integral part of the customers team as a contractor is a fine balance and one which, I believe, I emulated well.
