November 2011 HSE maintenance coordinator Agip kco Karabatan onshore Kazakhstan Karabatan was still in the construction completion and pre commissioning phase and consisted of 2 oil stabilization units using naphtha process and de-salters flash gas compressors’, utility unit 2 LNG trains and power generation plant using 6 gas turbines and a sulfur recovery train removing sulfur from the gas. The Kashagan oil and gas field in Kazakhstan have the highest concentration of H2S in the world 30000 ppm and was credited as the most dangerous oil and gas field in the world to work in. My major function at this installation Gas testing Performing HIRA and the preparation of work-packs for planned scheduled maintenance to be done. Develop HSE plan and baseline risk assessment. Compile monthly & weekly HSE reports reflecting all HSE statistics and performance. Compile HSE training matrix and implement. Schedule Dietsmann staff for training to insure all staff members comply to HSE standard to perform their tasks and comply with the labor law of Kazakhstan. Commissioning of three oil trains O.T.Us with stabilization columns Familiar with P&ID Shutdown, turnaround, Maintenance & preparation of work packs..Darquain oilfield had a very high concentration of H 2 S 7000 ppmCommissioning of three gas dehydration & injection trains were commissioned without any casualty or LTI the Darquain produced when in full operational 150000 barrels of oil per day. I also developed a patent (belonging to Sasol) in using microwave technology as reboilers replacing our steam boilers to have a more reliable constant energy source for our process at the chemical workup plant. • Commissioning of new plant/equipment • Operating and commissioning of kc centrifugal compressors with lube and seal oil systems, pumping of hydrogen’. • Fixed bed reactors - final. Cracking of gas at the ethylene, propane and ethylene plants. • Supervising 18 distillation towers for the separation of alcohol and Ketone plant • 16 boilers from 400 to 4300 kpa used in the different processes • Operate and monitor process operations from control panels. • Training of personnel for the MOSGASS project/plants • Issuing of permits for hot and cold maintenance work • Interpret plant drawings and preparation work for units to do plant maintenance • supervise plant start-up after shutdowns/maintenance • Chaired safety meetings arranged with contractors • Supervision of staff responsible for operation activities. • Approvals of all invoices/documents relating to materials and maintenance activities. • Organize plants performance testing for de-bottlenecking and for optimising plants efficiency. .
