I brought a home study course and began traveling writing in earnest. First article published in April of 2015. Progress was slow until I attended a three-day travel writing course put on by Great Escape Publishing. This class launched my writing career with almost twenty published or accepted articles in the three months following the course. Websites GoNomad.com and trip101.com published the bulk of these paid articles while www.travelpostmonthly.com, Davestravelcornercom and www.epicuren-traveler.com picked up other stories of mine. Alaska Magazine has accepted one article of mine due to be published in their June issue. My travel blog www.tasteoftravel2.com provides another outlet for my writing to expose it to readers or editors looking for travel/food stories. Update, September 2016. Now that I'm almost done with my first year of full-time travel and food writing I have over 60 published or accepted articles. Travel writing rocks! Update. Now that I'm in my fourth year of travel writing I've been published over 400 times. Show less
