• Operated Zeiss LSM 700 confocal microscope to capture 160 images of astrocytes located in prefrontal cortex and hippocampus of mice brain to characterize the effect of chronic unpredictable stress on the brain • Reconstructed 2,400 astrocytes using Imaris, exporting statistics on morphometric parameters for data analysis • Designed an improved reconstruction procedure for microglia and astrocytes which yielded more vivid cell images and 40% increase in cell tracing sensitivity • Spearheaded a novel investigation of the protective gene expression modulation by audiovisual stimulation in stressed mice brains supported by Fall 2022 President’s Undergraduate Research Award
