The English department at my school provided my class with a unique opportunity to write and create a book for the Year 3 students at a local primary school. As a class we visited the school and I talked to my partner student about his interests, hobbies and family to create a unique and personalised experience. After two month of me writing the story, designing the artwork and creating it as a hardback A4 book, I gave to to my Primary School partner to take home and keep. Over the course of these two months I learnt important skills such as: time management, creative writing, and child skills, and this helped to encourage young students to read more and venture outside of their comfort zone.
