I build organizational systems and social networks that create mutually beneficial partnerships between Indiana University and rural community stakeholders in Southwest Central Indiana. I led the design process for the center-wide service delivery model after expanding the number of community-engaged scholarship projects in my portfolio by more than 100%. With my contributions to its administration, the center’s community-engaged teaching program won its professional association's Outstanding Program Award in 2019. Collaborating with partners, I also increased the capacity for local food system development by launching the Indiana Uplands Food Network and an annual conference, through which stakeholders pursue local economic prosperity, public health, and environmental sustainability.

I provided executive leadership to a 75+ member university shared governance organization, managed a $1.8 million annual budget, and implemented an ambitious set of strategic priorities.Leading a team of campus partners and funders from start to finish, I advanced undergraduate degree completion by launching the Hawkeye Completion Grant—a regenerative financial aid program that ensured small university bill balances were not barriers to graduation for students with financial need. The Des Moines Register editorial board recognized the pilot program with a “Rose,” and following my tenure the university invested $500,000 in the established program, a 550% increase.
