  I assisted with taking care of 8-10 year olds as they learned about nature, including taking them on hikes, preparing nature related activities, and giving talks about nature related topics. Each day I would take the kids outside to play on the playground then take them inside to eat breakfast. After breakfast we would go for a hike with varying lengths usually playing games in the woods. Once we got back to the nature center we would have lunch and I would teach the kids about either insects, ponding, birds, or survival. Then we would have an activity that ranged from making fire to catching frogs and the kids would go home after that.
