    • Business Intelligence Intern
      • May 2022 - Present

As a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets' BI team, I contributed to a wide variety of departmental projects and data collection methods. Using Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce, I distributed qualified sales leads from ticket pages, postgame surveys, Formstack submissions, event enter-to-wins, and more. As of August 1 2022, I have sent out new business leads that have equivalency to over $450,000 in revenue for the company. I created workflows within Salesforce to automate data for the departments' dashboards and cleaned the inflow of data as needed. Using DBEaver and SQL, I pulled information from the CBJ's own data warehouse about ticket sales, food and beverage data, and everything in between. Over the course of the off-season, I produced high-level presentations about the Blue Jackets' season ticket holder and single game buyer preferences and rankings throughout the league on a variety of topics, which were presented to almost every major department within the organization. Other resources I used included Zoomph, which allowed for the retrieval of specific social media data for social and marketing reports. Nielsen (Scarborough) data was used to create competitor analyses between different demographic bases and their likelihood was to attend a CBJ game against our competitors. I created and updated a Leads tracker dashboard using Tableau to monitor the company's lead capture metrics for the 22-23 fiscal year and compare it to the previous years' data. I incorporated Tradable Bits data with Facebook, Formstacks, and Eloqua to show which campaigns were performing well and which sources we were gaining the most lead capture from. Created actionable insight reports into CBJ's social accounts and how they could best communicate to their target audience through YouTube. Researched and analyzed data to support consumer trends and Millennial/Gen Z media consumption habits.

Working in the Communications department of the Ohio University Athletic Department, I worked closely with my supervisors to execute weekly assignments ordered by both coaches and players alike. Some of the tasks I conducted included updating record books, summarizing season statistics and creating digital previews for matches and meets utilizing Adobe Suite technologies. Created weekly content updating Ohio University fans on upcoming events and created press releases for when student-athletes completed major accomplishments across all Division-I sports. Another key aspect of my internship involved taking in-game statistics. The stats would be live on the Ohio Athletics website (ohiobobcats.com) and were the sole source of statistics that players, coaches and broadcasts would use. Included below a LinkTree that shows some of the projects I completed for the department including digital programs, season stats and game recaps:

  • Ohio University King's Cup
    • Athens, Ohio, United States
    • Event Organizer
      • Oct 2021 - Apr 2022

The King's Cup was an event that I planned and organized with several faculty members at Ohio University for the students who worked at the 2020 Ryder Cup. Because of the event, I learned firsthand how event planning and execution works, even if it was on a relatively small scale. The process for organizing the King's Cup involved communicating with players, spectators and other third parties about what would provide an optimal experience and executing based off their inquiries. Coordinating with the golf course facilities team, we were able to section off times to allow for all of the players to play and allow for us to use tournament equipment for small minigames throughout the event. The overall event was a success and paved the way for more events like it to be held in the future. I learned valuable communications skills as well as event planning and organization tactics.

    • Ryder Cup 2020 - Hospitality Suite Services Intern
      • Sep 2021 - Sep 2021

The Ryder Cup is a professional golf tournament that pits the best golfers from the US and Europe against one another every two years, every four years in the United States. On behalf of Contemporary Services Corporation, I served as security outside one of the most expensive and luxurious chalets on the entire course - The 1927 Club. Named after the first year the Ryder Cup was played, the club sat between 18 fairway and 10 green, a prime location for spectators to walk around. As the tournament began and more spectators showed up, I was tasked with making sure only spectators with proper credentials were permitted into the club. But, a huge part of my job was customer service. Keeping a positive mentality and a smile on my face were critical to ensuring that spectators had the optimal experience at Whistling Straits.

Wedgewood was a private country club and golf course. I worked in the cart barn, but also assisted in private outdoor events when necessary. My work typically consisted of helping members have the best experience possible. This meant cleaning their golf clubs and carts, putting their bags in storage, and helping them on/off the golf course however they may need. We worked closely with the members and formed solid relationships in turn, resulting in being able to caddy for a select group on days that I was not working in the cart barn. I helped over 150 members in their day-to-day care and gained many relationships both internally and externally that have benefitted me immensely.
