  MDA MRI Renovations (2 Separate Projects, 3,250 SF, $2.5M)Description: Demolition and gutting of the existing two MRI scan rooms, adjacent equipment room, and control room, including the demolition and removal of existing RF shielding, door, and window, and all MEP systems. The scan room was modified including all infrastructure for the use of anesthesiology, injectors, and elastography, and an additional steel silicon plate was added to accommodate upgraded 3T Magnet. The MRI Suite is located on the fourth floor of the existing ambulatory care building and included the rigging to remove and reinstall existing precast panel and glass on the same day to create an opening for MRIs for 12 hours. The existing MRIs were removed, and new MRIs installed to maximize efficiency and minimize road closure and traffic control of Bertner Avenue in the Texas Medical Center. The Control Room wall and window was left out of initial construction for the rigging path of new MRI, and was closely coordinated to minimize the scope of work after MRI installation to expedite the schedule.MDA Hybrid OR Bi-Plane Suite (1,500 sf, $1.5M):Description: Demolition of two existing ORs, and renovation to a new Hybrid OR with Bi-Plane Angio Diagnostic Imaging Equipment. Project included all new MEPF infrastructure for new procedure room, control room and equipment room built in an active Operating Room Environment.Responsibilities: Project Management on all aspects of the project from client stewardship, team management and training, estimating, engineering, financials, and on-site superintendent.
