It is my pleasure to write a recommendation for Jacob Davis, a member of our Bearcats Marketing Academy with the University of Cincinnati Athletics Marketing Department when I arrived for the Fall of 2015. I worked closely with Mr. Davis and observed his interaction with fellow students and members of the athletics staff both behind-the-scenes and on game-day at football, volleyball, soccer and women's basketball. His ability to work effectively on multiple tasks, attention to detail, intensity of effort, responsibility, commitment, and focus resulted in a number of significant milestones for the athletic marketing. In particular, Jacob has been instrumental in the launch of our campus tailgate initiative. The tailgate sold out for all six of our home football games to date with a sponsored family fun zone, entertainment, contests, giveaways and food and beverage vendors. Additionally, Jacob's help reaching out to schools, coaches, clubs, teams, and groups across the tri-state area resulted in the Bearcats enjoying historic attendance jumps in multiple Olympic sports including volleyball (>26% increase from the previous three-year average and 37% from 2014) and men's soccer (>15% season increase and >79% weekend increase from 2014). From being responsible for organizing grid activities from set-up to tear-down, to cultivating relationships with area youth organizations and schools, to brainstorming concepts and engaging with fans, Jacob was extremely enthusiastic about even the smallest tasks and that positive attitude was infectious to the rest of the team. Jacob is strong leader with a proven team mentality and competitive fire who has displayed skilled communication and discipline. For these reasons, I can recommend Jacob Davis wholeheartedly.
