  My research is largely focused on termite diets and behavior, and the relationships between the two. Ideally, this will culminate in a published paper. My duties are mainly lab-based and include preparing termite food by using cellulose, agarose, and various additives, keeping detailed notes on activity, tunnel structure, social tendencies, and food consumed, and general laboratory work/hygiene. During the warmer months, I collect traps from the field and prepare collected colonies for future usage. Show less
