Blue and Gold Fund Student Social Media Assistant
-
Oct 2014 - May 2015
I was hired on by Marquette’s athletic scholarship fund, the Blue & Gold Fund, in 2014 to be their Student Social Media Assistant. Every week I would have a meeting with my superior and together, we created a social media schedule, which I then created social media posts corresponding with the schedule we created. Using applications such as SproutSocial, I monitored the Blue & Gold Fund’s following and social media presence, and relayed that information to the communications department of the Blue & Gold Fund. During my sixth-month span as a Student Social Media Assistant, I increased the Blue & Gold Fund’s follower base by 60 percent. In addition, in a giving campaign during the month of December, the Blue & Gold Fund raised more than $500,000, which was the largest giving campaign total in the school’s history.

Assistant Sports Editor
-
Aug 2013 - May 2014
I assisted the Sports Editor for the Marquette Tribune with his daily activities. I first read stories for print, and once a week went through print checklist, which consisted of editing stories, writing headlines and decks and making sure every story was published online. I attended weekly critiques and sports desk meetings, and I would fill in for the Editor at editorial board should he be absent.
