Prepared packaging line design documentation, detailed specifications and quotation packages for equipment and conveyance systems, installation bid packages and construction documentation. Conducted bid walks and managed bid evaluations and selection of most cost-effective approach to execution. Prepared and maintained detailed CAD layouts for material handling systems and packaging lines from concept through as-built phases. Reduced installation duration and production downtime with detailed event sequencing. Conducted static and dynamic check-outs of packaging equipment and conveyor systems following installation and assisted in extensive troubleshooting efforts to complete start-up. Managed punch lists and directed multiple installation crews to maintain project schedule, budget, and quality while enforcing adherence to safety rules and verifying proper equipment start-up practices. • Responsible for packaging line detailed design, equipment procurement, installation, and start-up efforts for plant-based meat start-up’s pilot mass production facility, allowing customer to increase their supply capacity from ~20 domestic restaurants to over 5,000 internationally.• Developed comprehensive plans for factory acceptance testing of packaging equipment and conveyance systems prior to delivery from vendor facility.• Cultivated excellent customer relationship which drove multiple engagements of production support following start-up of vegetable juice canning line. • Conducted commissioning of new can sizes and optimized line performance to successfully achieve client’s objective of 85% average line efficiency.• Provided engineering support from conceptual design and justification phase through start-up for multiple material handling upgrades to optimize existing distribution system capacity while allowing for maximum future growth.
