Awarded a scholarship as part of the Pulliam Scholarship Program and Colorado State University. This program included course work in designing environmental education programs for youth, as well as allowed me the opportunity to independently teach environmental education to 4th grade students. This included creating and interpreting lesson plans catered towards children ages 7-10 for academic use and executing lessons covering ecological concepts. Additionally, as part of this program I was responsible for mentoring a high school student in developing and conducting novel research related to natural resources. This resulted in the student presenting their research at a national competition and receiving an award. Show less
