I was Jaclyn's manager for two years and can attest that she is an incredible asset to any team. She has a high consideration for the entire user experience, bringing thoughtful intention to everything she touches. As a researcher, Jaclyn displays a remarkable amount of composure during tougher interviews and is able to meet users where they are in order to uncover the true problems that need solved. She's asking questions no one else is thinking of and wants to understand the why behind the why. She has a natural ability to empathize with others and dives deep into the problems people are experiencing. Jaclyn was responsible for finding the tool we now use to help us better organize, synthesize, and share research insights company-wide. I'm so grateful that she helped us mature as a team with regards to our research practices. As a designer, Jaclyn is very detail-oriented and doesn't just check through a list of requirements. She proactively meets with Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to understand each function's goal in order to create solutions that align all parties involved. Jaclyn is able to choose her battles, understanding when to shift to meet technical hurdles and when to advocate for the design decisions she feels are required to create a great user experience. She's proactive about that "last 10%" of design – looking for opportunities to elevate and evolve our UI or ensure our files are set up well. Shortly after joining our team, Jaclyn encouraged us to adopt Figma as our design tool and began establishing our design system – a very large feat and something she was passionate about spearheading for our small team. Without her push to build for the future, we would be without some of the core building blocks we have today that have allowed others to execute more effectively. Jaclyn is an incredibly well-rounded teammate that brings a unique mix of design, research, and business strengths to any company she's a part of.

I would describe Jaclyn's Product & UX Design approach as curious, creative, and classy. She is an exceptional teammate who leads by example, conducting very impactful user interviews, planning sessions, and retros. Above all, she keeps quality and meaningful user experiences at the heart of everything she does.
