  I am responsible for the development of quality assessment and moderation procedures in early years, primary and secondary establishments within East Renfrewshire Council. Additionally I lead the development of assessment and moderation across 8 different education authorities as part of The West Partnership Regional Improvement Collaborative. My role is to deliver high quality training in relation to assessment and moderation, support practitioners and facilitate a number of large scale moderation events. Supporting schools to implement School Improvement Partnership Programmes is another part of my remit. My role is to support practitioners to carry out professional enquiry and develop appropriate interventions to reduce inequity in education collaboratively. I deliver training and facilitate partnerships across my local authority with establishments across different local authorities.

  I have experience of teaching in Early, First, Second and Third level of Curriculum for Excellence and always ensure that my own knowledge of national, local and school priorities is up to date.I have one year of Acting Principal Teacher experience.In my current position I am a mentor to Newly Qualified Teachers, Outdoor Learning Coordinator, Food and Health Coordinator, Modern Languages Coordinator, Religious and Moral Education Coordinator, Bikeability Coordinator and a Moderation Facilitator. Additionally, I am also in charge of the school 'House' system and the Health and Wellbeing Committee. I received an award at National Level to recognise the work I had carried out relating to Bikeability Level 2. I have a keen interest in designing teaching materials and have carried out extensive work to create materials to support the delivery of of a variety of curricular areas.In my role as Acting Principal Teacher I was responsible for contributing to the School Improvement Plan, managing staff and working with the wider community. I work extremely well with all stakeholders and have forged strong partnerships between the school and the community.I have been responsible for leading a number of training sessions for staff at both school and cluster level, receiving very positive feedback from a wide variety of colleagues. Additionally, I am responsible for the budget for different areas of the curriculum.
