I help connect the nonprofit foundation to my school, as well as help promote tech drives around the county, and help refurbish used computers, which are donated from companies and other individuals. These devices are cleaned up and reset, and then sent to lower income individuals who may not have access to certain technology. The goal of Aeras Foundation is to provide technology for all in order to end the digital divide. I row for the Winter Park High School crew team. I dedicate three hours daily, six days a week, to practicing and participating in nationwide races. The most important thing I have gained from rowing is my relationship with people I now call family. I am also one of the team's two captains, as only a junior in high school. I also help manage the social media page for the team and was awarded the Boathouse Award. I row for the Winter Park High School crew team. I love taking pictures and helping others, so at the age of 12, I began to sell canvas prints of these photographs and donate the proceeds to my blind grandfather's organization, the Florida Council of the Blind. I also designed my website for the nonprofit, www.photosbyjackson.org, by myself. I also registered my nonprofit with the State of Florida as a 501(c)(3) organization. I have been involved in leadership through Student Government since ninth grade, where I was a class representative, and sophomore year, where I was vice president. For my junior year, I once again ran for vice president of my class and won. In Student Government, I attend leadership conferences, plan dances, and other school events and design graphics to spread awareness for these events.
