      I am an agribusiness specialist with Agri-lending business development, Credit analysis and portfolio management experience spanning over 20 years. I have grown through various promotions to Head of risk in 2016 at Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) in Kenya (Currently Chief Officer-Risk & Compliance. In January 2015 was tasked to manage the Improving access to agricultural finance by smallholder farmers in Bura irrigation scheme – a partnership between Agricultural Finance Corporation and AGRA. This led to development and deployment of a Farmer Information Technology Enterprise System (FITNES) that is currently being upgraded with Cloud Computing & Green Climate Financing capabilities. I have been a trainer from 2017 Executive Certificate in Agricultural Finance (ECAF) Curriculum implemented by Global Communities under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)-funded Agribusiness Investment for Market Stimulation (AIMS) program partnering with industry specialists in the various countries including Central Bank of Kenya’s Kenya School of Monetary Studies (KSMS) and Financial Access East Africa (FAEA).Trained over 200 Bank Managers & Credit Officers. Currently seconded to National Treasure as a Risk Expert in the implementation of the Kenya Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) following the enactment of the Public Finance Management (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 2020 on 3rd August 2020 and publication of the Public Finance Management (Credit Guarantee Scheme) Regulations, 2020 on 13th October 2020. The overall goal of the Scheme is to enhance access to credit by providing a partial guarantee for loans advanced to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). A key resource person in an ongoing design of a successor project to The Program for Rural Outreach of Financial Innovations and Technologies (PROFIT) for reducing of poverty in rural Kenya to be called Rural Kenya - Financial Inclusion Facility (RK-FINFA) funded by IFAD & National Treasury.
