My job as a PASS leader was to create a collaborative learning environment for the students I was overseeing. There were three classes in total with around 10 in each. My role was to guide the questions asked about the content back to the group in order to promote active learning. This allowed me to see the benefit of collaboration and helped with my confidence when it came to transitioning to a full time tutor.
