  The Wind Turbine Team at Virginia Tech is a student team that designs, builds, markets, and tests a model wind turbine. The Wind Turbine Team is an active participant in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Collegiate Wind Competition (CWC). Contributions thus far include:• Research and present solutions to upper class members of the Power Systems sub team. • Contributed to the wind turbine ‘power curve optimization model’ by manipulating the micro-controller sleep mode with updated coding scripts.• Prepare power curve data and supporting documentation for the broader team and to satisfy presentation requirements of Collegiate Wind Competitions.
