Jackson and I trained alongside each other during the 10th Arena Academy in Fall 2021. Somehow managing school, work, AND our intense training with grace and ease, Jackson developed a campaign-winning organizing plan that prioritized personal relationships with often overlooked voters— ideal for a SD in AZ with a large Latino and Native American population. They are quick-witted, have a great sense of humor, and present with (an enviable degree of) confidence and a calm demeanor. Highly recommend them!

Arena Academy is a best-in-class training program for aspiring political professionals. I was one of ~200 campaign professionals selected to take part in this five-day immersive learning experience and one of ~25 that participated in the Organizing Director track. The hands-on experience culminated with the Arena Cup, a campaign simulation in which I along with six teammates from across the country worked together to build a winning campaign plan. During this five day training, I learned how to effectively strategize and execute a Campaign Organizing Plan. Arena's curriculum included how to build a Distributed Leadership Model within an organizing team, how to utilize relational organizing methods to reach a campaign's win number, and how to integrate organizing into every other facet of the campaign.

    • Lead for America Hometown Fellow
      • May 2019 - Aug 2021

I had the pleasure to serve in Lead For America's inaugural cohort of Hometown Fellows in Springdale, AR. I served my fellowship with Arkansas United, a statewide immigrant rights advocacy organization based in Springdale. During my two-year fellowship I managed digital communications for Arkansas United; I also worked as a field and youth organizer. As an organizer I supervised the organization's voter registration drive, forging new partnerships with local nonprofits and community leaders to register more than 200 voters in the span of a month. I was also able to co-found the Arkansas United Youth Committee which grew to over 30 members in the span of a year. It was an honor to work with these passionate high school students who worked diligently to organize food drives that fed over 1,000 people in the midst of the 2020-21 winter.

I formulated and executed a social media strategy for Josh Mahony's congressional campaign for Arkansas' third district. I supervised content creation and scheduling across various platforms in Spanish and English that constituted the campaign digital presence. I held this position for two months before returning to spend the Fall semester of 2018 at the University of Notre Dame.
