  Intern with NASA's Student Airborne Research Program (SARP), where I increased my knowledge of hands-on research experience from field work to airborne research to a formal presentation. Aboard the aircraft I helped with the operation of instruments to sample atmospheric gases using the GeoTASO instrument on the NASA Langley UC-12B King Air. I worked on a team that used remote sensing techniques to analyse land processes. I traveled to multiple field sites, including Sedgewick Ranch and Coal Oil Point, to gather information on local vegetation. I completed an individual research project using Landsat satellite data to analyse post-forest fire affects on vegetation recovery and presented in for of the entire program. Show less
