As a Chartered geologist at RPA I spent the majority of my time completing multiple confidential due diligence studies on mining projects worldwide in a range of commodities for M&A, financing, and Mining Company audits. Findings from due diligences are documented in succinct reports and presentations to clients. Numerous site visits were undertaken for due diligence, helping clients improve their models, or provide custom solutions and SOP’s to Mineral Resource issues.I have completed many resource estimations, principally in gold, and acted as qualified person sign-off under CIM for TSX listed companies such as Mandalay Resources, Teranga Gold, and Thor Resources.I have also used my knowledge to provide technical assistance for clients to transform their work into NI 43-101 compliant Technical Reports.

      • Apr 2013 - May 2014

As a resource geologist for a Canadian based mining consultancy I modelled a wide variety of Gold and PGM deposits for numerous clients. My responsibilities included liaising with clients, importing and validating their data, building geological/mineralised zone wireframes, optimising block models, resource estimates, coding whittle pits to models and reporting the results. Other key responsibilities included-• Writing relevant sections of NI 43-101 reports in addition to resource estimation reports, memorandums and contributing to high level independent assessment reports.• Quantifying and assessing exploration project upside potentials and evaluating fatal flaws.• Providing investment analysis for financial clients.• Undertaking site visits and NI 43-101 compliance audits and inspections.• Providing recommendations for future project progression work and liaising with client’s potential investors.• Technical support to clients and internal staff on moving data and models between multiple geological software packages.

Collaborating with multiple clients on their various commodities as a Micromine Consultant, my tasks consisted of: data validation and conversion, geological and mineralisation interpretation, drill hole planning, generation of fly-through visualisation videos, macros, wireframes, block models with IDW and Ordinary Kriging, QA/QC analysis and reporting.I provided client technical support and international on-site data management, client training and I conducted DGPS surveys. Other key responsibilities included- • Statistical analysis of geological datasets and optimising estimation domains within geological models.• Writing & compilation of associated NI 43-101 resource estimation reports.• Liaising with clients to ensure that all data is correctly validated and stored in a suitable relational database.• Delivered graphical outputs of client data in Micromine for use in presentations, reports and websites.• Improving data integrity for clients, and providing recommendations on various procedures.• Investigating and testing Beta software and new Micromine features prior to public release.

At a large iron-ore deposit in remote Guinea I was in charge of running a team of multi-national geologists and ensuring that all project data collected was validated and exported through Ocris software on time. I created drilling progress reports, custom maps in ArcGIS and interpreted down-hole data in Target. I had a high level of responsibility ensuring that OH&S policies were adhered to by local and expatriated staff. I chose to leave Bellzone after a short time as the technical aspect of the job was below that discussed prior to starting.

My role involved remote field reconnaissance and running base metals RC drilling programs across the 220 km2 licence area, whilst providing cover for other projects when required. I supervised and logged the majority of the RC drilling, interpreted cross sections, and built wireframes to provide a geological model and a global resource estimate of the deposit. I utilised my model to plan drill holes and implement future drilling programs. My responsibilities also included running the Wadi Shugea project in remote Saudi Arabia which encompassed managing the exploration camp, where I significantly improved the safety standards, camp hygiene and living standards, and morale of the camp. Other key responsibilities included-• Effective leadership and responsibility whilst making people accountable for their work. I displayed a readiness to go beyond my job description to complete tasks. • Demonstrating an ability to deal with challenging circumstances and displayed a respect for different cultures when dealing with both local and expat staff.• Inducting new geologists in logging, safety and camp management.

As a rig geologist in remote WA, I logging and supervising an RC program, trained new geologists, managed data, supervised a 16 man exploration camp and created a new streamlined database for use on rigs. I undertook my MGeol thesis on exploration mapping and XRD/petrology to locate the sources of geochemical anomalies picked up during a creek sediment sampling program for a future drilling program.
