Bystander: A Portrait in Apathy is a unique bully prevention assembly program that enlists students from within the school community to express a very emotional and powerful message about being a bystander. During weeklong rehearsals a group of pre-selected students will rehearse a moving performance sure to reach even the toughest of students and staff. Following up their performance with small group debriefing sessions allows students in the school to take control of the bullying situation by finally acknowledging the role they play in perpetuating it. At long last a school assembly will address the fact that the power to end bullying and make school a place where every student feels safe lies in the actions and words of the bystanders. Show less
