Covering approximately 65 distribution companies and a small internal management team, my role oversaw all sales and marketing aspects to attain positive results of our distribution network.Such was the extent of inconsistency i had inherited of the processes, i created a 'form of contract and expectations' by way of a Distributors Handbook which was intended to become the measure of accountability. Whilst commended across the distribution network and the management team as a whole, the president deemed it 'too complicated' which unfortunatley saw a gradual demise in the execution of the process.In the early days of the process, the company did experience positive results across both the sales and the marketing divisions. However, upon quickly finding myself potentially ‘entangled in family matters’, I took the decision to offer and agree with the owner to fall back into a sales role ; International Sales & Marketing Director but such was the Founder & CEO’s respect for my decision taken on behalf of his company, which we both knowingly understood would be cause of embarrassment to the company, he maintained my level of remuneration. At the time of commencement, the company were enduring radical sales erosion in some 'key' markets with a distinct directive given to me to 'turn them around', Germany being the main market requiring attention. A particular focus by our relatively small team brought it back into align positively with the rest of the continent over a period of approximastely 3-4 years.
