  As an integration developer, my role at SureView is ensuring device compatibility with the Immix software, both Cloud (Web based) and Enterprise (desktop application) versions. Immix is a software platform used by commercial central stations and businesses to consolidate a wide range of security products into one simple operator interface, essentially becoming the sole alarm management interface. Device integration functionality can vary from simple RTSP video feeds to full video/audio control along with digital input and output options. My role encompasses creating new integrations to ensure compatibility between the Immix Platform and external devices such as cameras, intercoms, VMS's and access control systems; and maintenance of existing integrations to ensure the quality of the product along with troubleshooting and diagnoses of code. The application was a web interface utilising HTML and ASP.net communicating to a VB.net back end containing most of the logic. The application had multiple user levels based on the council members windows login, allowing for automatic recognition along with locking certain features; such as authorising or removing a work item request.
