  DAILY DUTIES • Performs physical and chemical testing of in-process and finished good products making sure formulation and recoveries are within specification before it gets released to client. • Performs assays of actives and preservatives using HPLC instrument. • Daily hands- on Agilent instrumentation (HPLC) and ChemStation or OpenLab software. • Works with a team of scientists in a fast-paced environment to design and implement analytical strategies. • Prepares standard, reagent and sample preparations as required by the analytical method SOPs. • Conducts physical testing using analytical instrumentation such as viscometer, PH meter, Penetration, microscope, hot plate, vacuum, moisture oven. • Performs physical/visual testing such as color, odor, melting points and appearance. • Prepares documents and batch card documentation such as Certificate of Analysis (COA), raw material lists, submissions forms and sends it to the clients (L’Oreal, Perricone, Shiseido, etc...) • Prepares and ships out bulk formulation to clients for customer approval before products gets released to DMI’s production. • Strong organizational skills verbal and written communication. • cGMP and OSHA trained • Performs transfers/releases of raw materials to production using DMI’s DMIOS software • Knowledgeable of all DMI’s departments such as production area, finished goods department, Sample room, receiving department, and labeling room. • Works closely in the Research and Development of the Microbiology Laboratory at DMI. • Trained to work with Celsis Rapid Microbial Screening Instrument with Celsis Charles River Company at DMI, performing various sample preparations and analyzing with the Celsis Rapid Micro Instrument.

Wet Chemistry Lab Technician Daily duties such as filtering, weighing soils and raw materials, diluting, redox reading, ph reading, record keeping, confidentiality, inventory, fractionation, and moisture reading. ⏺️Collected and tested samples for extended diesel organic range (EDRO), total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) analysis to determine chemical components.
