>Prepared with pulling an air conditioner compressor out of a truck, the project would be delayed because of a lack of parts. Working on this taught me to be very adaptable in what I did because in order to stay productive, I had many projects going on at once. I ended up accomplishing my other project and getting the truck back on the road. >Delegated with the task of pulling a compound turbo system out of a truck, something I had never done. I learned to be very strategic in my thinking. I spent time researching and repairing and taught myself how to go about the project. After much reading, the truck was back on the road. >Addressed roadblocks I ran into while pulling an engine from a truck, I used much of the skill of ideation. This skill was important because the engine would get stuck and not shift out of the small area in the truck. I had to use my problem-solving skills with ideation to figure out I needed to move the transmission-- eventually leading to the engine coming out. Show less

>Handled inventory at the Napa store. Many parts that had to be ordered and it was very important to be organized. This was a lesson hard learned when I had to call a customer and tell them I forgot to order their part. Organization became a key part in my day making sure I cataloged what parts I ordered. >Tasked with delivering parts in a timely fashion, communication between employees became very important. Communication was important so we could get the parts delivered as soon as they got called in. It was important to be strategic in timing stops chronologically and have a good sense of time because delivery points had the potential to be many miles apart. > Pinpointed at the Napa store was the skill of accountability. I learned many times how important it was to own up to my mistake even if it was embarrassing. It wasn't often, but telling the customer their parts got lost or mixed up was where I really strengthened my ideal of the importance of owning up and being responsible for my actions. Show less
