      I was a senior account manager at Velvet PR, a specialist B2B PR and communications agency. It works with a variety of clients in these sectors: • The advertising and media industry • Ad tech • Entrepreneurs and start-ups • Retail • Professional services and trade bodies Some key clients I worked with included: Wasserman, IPG Mediabrands, Wunderman and WPP. Working alongside the clients’ new business and marketing team, I built PR and communications programs that were carefully aligned to expand and build their business. This included media liaison with key marketing and advertising trade publications as well as national, international and vertical press. I managed some of Velvet's key client accounts and reported directly into either the head of new business, or the marketing director. My role was to build strategic PR campaigns to boost business profiles, engage with new business prospects and highlight the expertise of key spokespeople. This required me to develop strong relationships with everyone at my clients’ business from c-suite level through to account directors, managers and executives. My experience also includes working on Velvet's new business strategy and pitches, daily media monitoring and reporting for my clients, presentation of PR ideas and pitches, project management, events support, social media management and assisting in the professional development of the PR executives that work within my account teams.
