  This role had a bit of everything - recruitment and training to maintain a team of over 40 interviewers, transcribers and office-based casual staff, supporting them in field operations, maintaining mobile survey hardware and architecture, running, monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting fieldwork projects, managing payroll, HR systems and health & safety processes.My number one priority is making MHM a caring, supportive, transparent and vibrant company for our remote interviewers to work for.I have a keen eye for minutiae - I maintain, update and reform field department processes and systems from the cultural to the technical, in line with the company's vision of long-term growth.Our team has grown and I'm no longer directly involved with every project or improvement, but I'm always ready to lean in with practical experience of data collection and fieldwork, interviewer management, survey testing and design best practices.

  I was jointly responsible for managing, supervising and organising a team of face-to-face interviewers at major museums and galleries in London and across the UK. This included recruitment, training, and continued development of interviewer skills.I helped to keep all aspects of fieldwork running smoothly for dozens of qual and quant research projects, monitoring and organising SNAP data and sample, organising vox pops, contact collection and and helping out focus group recruitment and admin.I built a system to track sample, strike rates, shift usage and budget across all MHM's rolling research contracts on a single spreadsheet.I methodically tested the majority of MHM's computer assisted and tablet surveys for sense and technical or programming glitches, and as my role expanded, trained part-time staff to take over this function.
