Years 1 & 2:These years were set in the class room, electrical laboratory & the QinetiQ Apprentice Training School (QATS) hangar. These two years were used to study towards my diploma & achieving a practical & theoretical understanding of aircraft maintenance, aircraft theory & electrical/avionic systems.Years 3 & 4:The latter years of my apprenticeship were set out in the wider business to enable me to achieve my NVQ qualification & experience different technical functions of… Years 1 & 2:These years were set in the class room, electrical laboratory & the QinetiQ Apprentice Training School (QATS) hangar. My NVQ placements were carried out on the light helicopter flight line, in depth & routine maintenance on fixed & rotatory wing platforms as well as in the installation department.
