Jack Lamson is the epitome of a go-getter student. There has never been a time during the four years that I've known Jack that he wasn't doing something to improve his future. From internships to fraternity work to exercise, Jack brings "work-life" balance to a whole new level, maximizing his potential whenever possible. Seeing Jack getting awards or being on television or in the papers became almost routine after a while, as he always finds new ways to make a difference in his world. But it's not always about himself; Jack is as selfless as they come, always willing to offer a helping hand on other students projects as I have seen numerous times. Jack has a litany of experiences and the ambition and capability to ensure that there is more to come.

    • News Anchor - Good Morning Carolinas
      • Aug 2013 - Aug 2015

Co-anchor of Good Morning Carolinas, Monday-Friday from 5-7. In addition to anchoring the show, I conduct live interviews, assist with producing, remain active on social media and shoot/report on breaking news when needed. Once the show is over, I attend our morning editorial meeting where I pitch stories and work with our producers to select the stories we'll cover that day. Several days a week I will go out and cover one of these stories myself as a Multimedia Journalist. Co-anchor of Good Morning Carolinas, Monday-Friday from 5-7. Starting as a Multimedia Journalist I worked my way up to weekend anchor and producer in less than a years time. My time as a 'One-man-band' at KAUZ allowed me to learn about the many facets of working in a newsroom. I also learned the importance of developing local contacts and sources to enterprise my own stories.
