Edinburgh, United Kingdom "A Single-Cell Study of the Biophysics of Bacteriophage Infection" With Dr. Aidan Brown and Prof. Teuta Pilizota -I studied the interactions of bacteriophages and bacteria on the level of single-cells using fluorescence microscopy and machine learning data analysis to look closer at the pressure regulation of E. coli cells during infection. -I am also responsible for management/maintenence of one of the main microscopes in the Pilizota Lab and have done significant work upgrading… Show more "A Single-Cell Study of the Biophysics of Bacteriophage Infection" With Dr. Aidan Brown and Prof. Teuta Pilizota -I studied the interactions of bacteriophages and bacteria on the level of single-cells using fluorescence microscopy and machine learning data analysis to look closer at the pressure regulation of E. coli cells during infection. -I am also responsible for management/maintenence of one of the main microscopes in the Pilizota Lab and have done significant work upgrading it to be capable of optical trapping - although as part of stage stabilization through B.F.P. interferometry rather than actual tweezing. - As part of the Soft Matter and Functional Interfaces CDT I have also undertaken a Business Management Certificate qualification with CMI which involved developing an "eco community" platform to combat greenwashing on the local and national scale.
