Across my final two years in South Africa I took on larger roles with Eastern Province Rugby, working with the top Eastern Cape schoolboy rugby players within Craven Week (Polokwane) and also as a selector (Albany/Grahamstown) Craven Week is the premier week in SAs Schoolboy rugby program as players across all regions meet in a week of games and individual practice and session. I also had the role of Technical Advisor, which allowed me to continue my match, individual and squad analysis across the EP side and also the EP Country District Side. I created individual rating systems for each position, looking to help selection and also training planning.

Over three years at St Andrews College I covered a number of roles related to the schools prestigious rugby program. When I first came to the school I took on the Assistant role whilst also working as an Attacks Coach (Lineout/Backline) through the A division teams, where I looked to maintain a constant coaching style throughout. I also had the 15B side to myself as an individual coach, going undefeated through the first season. In my first year Allan Miles (Head of Rugby) and I looked to streamline the rugby program through the school, bringing in a blue print of plays, attacking mentality, lineouts, game plan etc. throughout the entire A division, understanding that this would lead to a stronger 1stXV side across the upcoming years. I also set up the game analysis program at the school, bringing in the Pro Format of the Verusco Software, building the database and performing analysis and statistic captures for all A division games, allowing us better post game analysis. That first year was a great experience for my rugby as my coaching style really took shape, my style of rugby, and my preference balancing. My second year I took on more roles within the school, taking on larger roles with the 1stXV becoming the Assistant Coach and continuing my work with the Verusco program, I also coached the 3rdXV as an individual coach with a record of 14-1. Also began a program of Individual Skills Coaching which was designed to cover key areas of different positions i.e. speed training, power lifting, kicking. In my final year I continued with my work with the 1stXV working as the Attacks Coach again, whilst also working as Backline Coordinator across A Division. Continued to run the analysis program for the school whilst again coaching the 3rdXV (15-0) St Andrews College really shaped my rugby coaching style.
