Race Crew Electrical - Microsystems
-
Sep 2022 - Present
I am currently working with the UMSCT in our pursuit to race in the World Solar Car Challenge this October. I will be one of the 21 members that travel with the team and be in Australia for two months as we assemble and test our car. I specialize in the microsystems of the car, primarily those to do with the battery systems. I have designed and manufactured the battery management system and am currently working on testing and improving the design. Worked as a backpacking guide to camp that serviced over 25,000 participants while I was there. I learned first aid and leave no trace principles as well as teaching and communication skills while instructing them to participants. I catered personal experiences with each group that I met, helping them plan their trip, prepare for emergency scenarios and navigate the 200 square mile park.
