Working with Jack was a great experience and helped me to become a better professional. As a new Complex Director at UW-Whitewater, I struggled my first year learning the job and my responsibilities. Jack made himself available to me, and shared many of the resources he had created so that I could make them my own and be more comfortable in the job. He often processed problems in the workplace with me and was a true mentor to me my first two years. Anyone who hires Jack is taking on an experienced professional who seeks to develop others as well as himself.

I worked under Jack's supervision as a Senior Summer Assistant and a Resident Assistant at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. I truly appreciated Jack's thoughtfulness and willingness to get to know his staff. This ability helped him foster productive relationships among staff members to help make the residence halls run smoothly. Additionally, Jack has a perfect mind for systems management as he was always looking for improvements to a currently existing system in order to make the processes more convenient or less error prone. This was a great asset when we transitioned from paper copy room reports to all online room reports using an I-pad system at UW-Whitewater. As with any large transition, there were initial bugs with the system. Jack was able to handle the technological frustrations, gain constructive feedback from his staff, and work out a more effective process for the second semester of having the new I-pad system. If given the opportunity, I would gladly work with Jack again.
