  My Clinical Internship was done at Bay City McLaren. This is where I got to work and learn alongside Exercise Physiologists. for the sake of improving the well being and cardiovascular functioning for patients with various risk factors of heart disease. On a day-to-day basis, I would perform tasks of creating exercise regimens for patients, interpreting electrocardiograms and conducting stress tests to aid in the diagnoses for patients with suspected heart disease or cardiac related events from the past. Had the chance to lead exercise sessions as well as teaching classes about topics that can improve heart health. I got the chance to do this for 10 weeks before being transferred to the stress laboratory. The final 5 weeks at the stress lab was another awesome aspect of this internship because I was able to apply prior knowledge with hands on work with patients who were considered Phase 1 patients, or recently treated with stenting, CABG surgeries and even pacemaker implantations. The lab offered tests like Graded Exercise Treadmill tests, Lexiscan/Dobutamine tests, Tilt Tables and even assistance with cardiac monitor setup. I worked alongside Cardiologists, Sonographers, Registered Nurses, Exercise Physiologists and more. A final evaluation was completed, as well as a presentation of a specific health interest of mine and a final reflective paper. Show less

  My first college job was getting the chance to work for the CMU football film crew. I worked alongside videographers in order to film the teams practices, games, weight room sessions and highlight tapes. All together would follow a practice plan with specific duties, shooting from many angles for the aid of the coaches who watched the film on their downtime. Traveled all across the United States to wherever the team events were. Wanted to follow the path of my Godfather, who is the defensive coordinator at LSU, but was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and financial instability from the workplace. Amazing experience.
