Researcher in a PC2 laboratory, working on a collaborative project investigating TNF-Receptor Associated Factor (TRAF) proteins. I established and optimised a recombinant protein expression system. I focused heavily on protein purification methods including affinity tag purification followed by a range of chromatographic techniques. I also performed the maintenance of laboratory equipment and many preparative functions such as the production of chemical buffers. I helped students achieve their desired result through facilitating discussion and supervising experiments. I tutored students at an undergraduate level by using a variety of different mediums to portray the information in a way that connected with the individual. I marked Lab reports and provided feedback to allow students to continually improve. I helped students achieve their desired result through facilitating discussion and supervising experiments.
