  This role follows a week on week off rotation working in the Pride of Canterbury’s retail shop. Assisting the on board service managers to manage a small team to effectively run the Dufry retail shop on board. Day to day I successfully collaborate with the ship's crew and stores and the travel retailer Dufry to ensure that the shop is fully stocked and presentable to passengers on their voyage to Calais. We sell many of the top perfume, alcohol and sweet brands and it is my role to manage a small team to promote these products and work with the the World Duty Free Group to ensure customer satisfaction. As well as the above dedicated role I have on the vessel, there are a number of safety and statutory considerations that I have been trained for and always have to be mindful of when working on a Ro-Pax ferry such as weekly drills and knowing your responsibilities during an emergency as well as working with crowds in an emergency situation to safely manage them.
