On Site Manager
-
Jun 2016 - Oct 2020
I was the Site Manager at the University of Nottingham for Kings Camp. My role involved planning and organising a sports programme for children and managing a staff team of around 15 - 20 people. It is a sports-based programme which includes a wide range of sports such as Football, Cricket, Swimming, Dodgeball, Danish Longball, Rugby and many more. During my time at Nottingham bookings rose from around 50 children per day to 130 at it's peak. During my time working for Kings Camp I have also managed locations in Birmingham, Coventry and Wakefield. Show less

For the summer of 2018 I became regional manager of Scotland. In the build up to this role I helped deliver national training at several locations across the UK. During June - July I oversaw 11 venues for a 4/5 week period offering support, my expertise and experience in delivering high quality sports coaching and child care across the whole of the Scottish region. I met with site managers on a weekly basis delivering one to ones, audits of the sites and evaluations of their staff teams ensuring standards were high. Show less

Family Activity Coordinator
-
Sep 2013 - Jun 2016
For nearly 3 years I managed the children’s activity programme at David Lloyd Leisure Nottingham where I was responsible for driving four lines of income and managing a team of around 15 staff members. On a weekly basis I planned, organised and delivered children's sports activities and games as part of the club's core programme for families. Activities would usually take place daily for a 2 hour period while parents or carers used the rest of the facilities. The four lines of income consisted of a gymnastics programme, Club Creche (3months - 3 years) , Children's Birthday Parties and a Holiday Active programme during the half terms and holidays. I was in charge of recruitment for the department, managing its staff through one to ones and staff training . I often filled duty manager shifts weekly, I would manage and respond to incidents for the whole building such as first aid, poolside checks, responding to complaints and supporting other departments during busy periods. Multi-Sports Coach
-
Nov 2009 - Aug 2013
I ran sports activities daily for children aged 3 -11. During my time as a Multi Sports coach I won the Team Member of the Month award on three occasions, I was recognised by the senior management team and selected to take further training in both Manchester and London. When returning I was then able to feedback what I had learnt to the rest of my team to provide consistency as well as excellent service.

Personal Best Coaching was a business set up by myself and a friend which offered PPA work, afterschool clubs and birthday parties for children. The sports after-school club we ran at Kimberley Primary was every Tuesday evening where we would take 30 children aged between 3-11 for sports lessons planned by myself. The business collapsed when I was offered a promotion at David Lloyd Lesuire.
