I had the pleasure of working with Jack for over 10 years. Although I was not in Jack's department, his department supported my group. As a database administrator, I relied heavily on Jack and his group to keep my systems up and running. My reliance was not misplaced. Jack and his group were the backbone of my support group, and they NEVER failed me. And Jack always had a great attitude. Sr. Business Analyst, AIG Lana Stokes

I have had the privilege of working with Jack Carroll for approximately 10 years. His assistance has always been critical to his and peer teams in meeting project completion goals. He works hard to insure customer satisfaction, time lines and requirements are always met. Jack is always available to assist regardless of how busy he may be at any given time. I am proud to say I have worked with and for Jack Carroll. He is an asset to this and any firm fortunate enough to have him on their team. I will continue to strive in being of similar assistance to Jack in response to his service and dedication.

Executed a multi floor complete technical build out and renovation of an active location inclusive of a trading floor, data center and structured cabling plant. Finished on time and on budget without any business interruption. Engineered and executed the company’s first full disaster recovery test from the alternate location in Pennsylvania using floating seats from SunGard Recovery Services. Implemented DEXIA North America’s first auditable and executable IT General Controls designed to align with state, local and federal regulatory requirements. Managed the implementation of all voice, data, structured cabling, IDF, MDF, UPS and systems related to infrastructure for all AIG companies in both North and South America. The average total budget for all active projects was consistent of 10 – 15 million dollars US with all projects to date executed on time and on budget. Managed the Voice and Data infrastructure upgrade to 31 floors of 180 Maiden Land that included the installation of a new AVAYA 83xx host and chassis to support the entire downtown campus, along with the complete retrofit of some 60 IDF and MDF closets to support approximately 2500 users. The overall technology budget for this specific project was over 11.4 million with all critical milestones having been met or exceeded. The project was specifically complicated in that special attention needed to given to the timing and scheduling as this was a fully functional Goldman Sacs office. Provided an entirely separate and isolated parallel infrastructure totally operational and capable of supporting AIG’s voice and data systems on day one while we transitioned into the floors as they became available. Designed and implemented AIG’s first automated system for the management of logical user access to all databases, applications and systems within AIG Investments. This system was designed to roll up into the AIG Identity Management Standard once implemented by AIGGS. The system successfully managed and passed the previous SAS70 and SOX404 audits as conducted by Ernst and Young, Price, Waterhouse, Coopers and the Securities and Exchange Commission for our IT controls. In 2003 AIG Investments initiated a downtown consolidation plan of its offices that were located in various AIG and non AIG locations into the 70 Pine Street location. This project required my technology team to not only design and move over 700 employees into 7 floors of AIG, but required a complete build out of a tier 3 data center and construct a trading floor using IPC trading systems called the Alliance 300. We partnered with Sector Communications, Bloomberg, Reuters and IPC on the migration of over 96 broker dealer lines and circuits to ensure that the cut over was seamless and no trade operations would be affected. The move was completed on time and without a single trading system or circuit failure. In 1999 I initiated a project to design and implement AIG’s first disaster recovery site complete with 60 workstations and a real time replication system that backed up all application and financial data to a recovery facility in Jersey City. Contracted with SunGard Recovery Services group and obtained an AIG Investments dedicated facility complete with storage space to house all back up tier 1 production data and applications. Negotiated a deal with AT & T, Bloomberg, and AIGT to port previously identified phones, services, and information to the facility if a declaration was enacted. Show less

Took over management of the SG helpdesk supporting the North Americas to which I hired 16 technical specialists in various areas of strength. Implemented a call tracking system for the helpdesk that provided an immediate ROI with an increase of over 200% in productivity as a result with a daily ticket closure rate of over 90%. The tracking system provided management with incident reporting on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis that was used for training and monitoring purposes. Show less
