The Project involved the construction of a new copper mine in the Zambian Copperbelt. The Project was completed on time and within budget of $480 million. The Process plant on surface was built and in the same time the shaft was re-vamped, new shaft steel work was installed with new guides, Winders, Electrical Sub-Stations etc. 3 x 100 meter deep ventilation shafts were sunk for underground ventilation Workshops were erected for the different disciplines. Conveyor structures were installed from surface following the decline. Conveyor structures with fire hydrant systems were installed on all the belts going underground and was installed on the different levels.
