Robert Lash, CAMP
As one of 13 volunteer Board Members of PEMAC (Plant Engineering Association of Canada), JP has been helping to achieving the PEMAC Board of Directors vision and goals through many personal contributions. The strength of the PEMAC Board and Association is due to such efforts and JP has / is working on key contributions and projects as a PEMAC Director. From supporting networking events such as Maintrain (the PEMAC National Conference) to leading a pivotal project - the creation, development and implementation of the PEMAC Body of Knowledge, JP is focused and passionate about helping the members of PEMAC and society in general. Beyond JP’s individual contributions his ongoing strategic business focused ideas and approaches are helping to grow and advance PEMAC to ultimately benefit all members or PEMAC and society in general. I got to know JP through our time together at PEMAC board in the last two years. As a person I found him to uphold the highest levels of integrity and professionalism. Through his presentations at the last two MainTrain conferences, I got to see his valuable contributions to Reliability Excellence at workplace in Cameco. His metrics driven Reliability Improvement work there was marked by clarity of vision; simplicity in execution; learning, adjusting and improving continually; are something I would like to replicate at my workplace too. To me, his masterpiece to date has been his contribution to PEMAC’s Body of Knowledge work where he is setting up a robust platform to generate, collate and share all facets of knowledge in the realms of Maintenance, Reliability and Asset Management. This work is destined to catapult PEMAC’s Body of Knowledge to the best among our peers in US, UK, Australia and other parts of the industrialized world. I have no doubts many more such contributions will emerge from JP in the years to come.
