Bio
Leslie Bowman
Mike is one of those people who make teaching such a rewarding job! He is hard working, intelligent, and dedicated to both his professional and academic work. I was impressed with his leadership and organizational skills in class discussions and collaborative activities. Mike was an outstanding role model for his graduate classmates, all of whom were in the MSN program. He was a superior student, easily in the top 2% of all my graduate students in all my years of teaching graduate courses. Because of his excellent online communication and leadership skills, as well as his quick and easy rapport with peers in the online classroom, I suggested that he might want to consider expanding his career into online teaching at some point in the future. Mike and I have long since left behind the professor-student association and we are now colleagues and friends. Last year when I was writing a new book, I asked Mike to contribute and was confident in his ability to produce valuable ideas to the book. Indeed, his contributions to Online Learning: A User-Friendly Approach for High School and College Students are reflective of his innate talent in online communication and in depth understanding of how people learn online. I know Mike is superb in his current career and I hope that he will consider teaching online in the near future. I have every confidence in Mike’s ability to excel in nursing and teaching and I recommend him without reservation.
