MANAGING DIRECTOR - ADM Milling UK Ltd.
-
Aug 2000 - Apr 2002
I ran the head office and 4 manufacturing plants with full P&L responsibility. There were 6 directors reporting to me.This was a newly acquired business by ADM which was losing money. At the time, the annual sales revenue was GBP 60MM. My job was to dig in and understand why the business was not profitable and then suggest alternate/possible corrective actions. In late 2001 / early 2002, there was a formal proposal put forward to improve profitability through acquisition of the competitor's excess capacity. This was accomplished around 2003. Show less

I was then placed in the Growmark trading group in Decatur, IL where I originated various grains from farmers, coop's, brokers and traders to create the front side of a trading program. There was then a senior manager who handled the "sell" side of the transaction.
