  Attached to the office of the Directorate General of the French Gendarmerie, the mission consisted in the evaluation of the potential commercial of innovations of sensitive nature developped by the gendarmerie. Performed in cooperation with the legal team and biogenetic scientists, the focus was first made on a specific invention,a new fast DNA analysis device.   A three-month internship performed in a Norwegian research laboratory. The objects of the study were the risers usually used to link wells and production plateforms in the off-shore industry. We aims at explaining the Influence of pre-existing corrosion pits on the fatigue life of high-strength steel with a new critical distance approach. Studies was performed on pre-pitted armour wires of a flexible riser. We used fatigue testing, surface Topography and Finite Element Analyses. Show less
