Volunteered for Clean water and sanitation (SDG 6) at Agu-Awka metropolis of Anambra State. The high rate of indiscriminate dumping of wastes from different sources including industries, homes, markets, etc, in Agu-Awka has posed not only health issues, but also groundwater contamination, soil deterioration effects. Consequently I; - Evaluated the impacts of leachates from distributed dumpsites on the regional groundwater quality of the study area. - Reviewed past literature works on the impacts of leachates infiltration from dumpsites into the groundwater system of Agu-Awka and environs. - Interviewed residents the effects of contaminated water. - Visited and taught high school students on the need for water treatment before use.
