I am an experienced UK trained consultant Interventional cardiologist with over 17 years’ experience of working in prestigious university teaching hospitals in UK. I am a graduate from King Edward Medical College, one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in the region (Established in 1860), and have the full GMC registration with license to practice. On completion of my structured training in general internal medicine I passed exit examination i.e. FCPS (Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan). I also hold full MRCP UK since 2008 and have current UK CCT in Cardiology. I have extensive clinical, teaching and research experience having worked in General Medicine and Cardiology at prestigious university/ teaching hospitals in England. During these jobs my responsibilities included care of General Medical and Cardiac patients. I have also been responsible for teaching and training, clinical supervision and workplace-based education and assessment of undergraduate (MBBS) students and postgraduate trainee doctors. I am a GCP trained cardiovascular researcher with substantial experience as Investigator for a number of multi-centre international cardiovascular research trials. I am experienced cardiologist, currently working as consultant interventional and general cardiologist at a University Teaching Hospital in UK. I have extensive experience in Cardiology, General Internal Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical Research and Medical Education. I have always had a heavy clinical service workload, together with strong commitments to teaching and training. I would like to continue my research, clinical and teaching skills whilst undertaking interventional and general cardiology responsibilities.
