This role greatly increased my people management skills, Customer relations/resolutions and how to work under pressure with numerous tight deadlines. My personal organisational skills where lifted to enable me to achieve the desired goals of the owner in short time frames.

I worked at MAK Workwear for a year and half whilst attending university full time. During my time I helped to drastically grow and re-organise their warehousing and distribution activities, and to drastically help with efficiency and accuracy. I was employed by the Mining & Construction division based in Newcastle Working in large scale multipurpose distribution centre with over 50 employees active in one shift.My primary role was the management of parts supply to manufacturing, Inventory accuracy, lost stock and general problem solver.My duties involved;• Monitoring operations for supply of parts to manufacturing section.• Problem solving of incorrect and faulty parts with minimal disruption.• Managing a team to cycle count and adjust stock levels under tight deadlines.• Tracking down lost parts and orders within a large warehouse’s using multiple stock operating systems that share common racking and parts.• Liaising with multiple sections simultaneously.• Picking and packing • Forklift operationWorking for Sandvik was essential to developing my skills for a successful career. The large scale business and bureaucracy involved was both interesting and useful to my career development. I left this role to pursue university studies.
