  I was a lead teacher at Premier High School in Longview, Texas. This position required me to assist with curriculum alignment, instruction strategies, and data analysis to ensure students are graduating with their cohort. I communicated with campus directors and coordinators to ensure goals for each student is set and I create personal graduation plans (PGPs) for each student in the program. I taught English, Math, History, and Science being that I have a Special Ed EC-12 certification. I advise all of my students to aim to expedite their secondary education by graduating early if possible. I maintained documents and accurate records while providing support through coaching and modeling the curriculum. I remain in consistent contact with parents through ParentSquare and I’ve developed a healthy community with all guardians. I demonstrated a deep knowledge of sheltered instruction and SIOP as well as collaborate with all therapist and specialized departments. I have strong knowledge of Texas Assessment Program, district curriculum, and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and I created lesson plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).   I was a Special Education Life Skills Teacher at Marshall Junior High School in Marshall, Texas. This teaching position required me to collaborate with the general ed teachers and administrators to develop strategies to meet the needs of each individual student on my caseload. I had to modify and develop daily curriculum techniques specific for my students with different learning modalities. I developed approved lesson plans to meet the standards of the curriculum within the classroom and assist in developing lesson plans for inclusion students. I consistently communicated and corresponded with parents, admin, school psychologist and other professionals to set up and plan IEP and evaluation meetings. I acted as the IEP facilitator and collaborate between sped and gen. ed teachers. I would gather relative information from team members and write, revise, and update IEP data reports. I completed report cards every six weeks and maintain appropriate student data in order to keep school-wide grading system up to date.
